
James E. Knight
March 30, 1955~June 29, 2020(age 65)
James’s, also known as “Woolfer”, life began March, 30, 1955 in Herington, KS. He was the son of Donald and Betty (Storey) Knight. He graduated from Herington High School in 1973. James passed away on June 29, 2020.
He was a metal fabricator for Frisbee Construction in Gypsum KS and for White Brothers Construction in Kanopolis, KS. He lived on his property with his best buddy Bubba Louie in Carneiro, KS and loved to collect and pick and maintain the school house. His true passion was Harley Davidson motorcycles.
His loving family includes his daughter, Jamie Kay (James) Chamberlin of Topeka; brother, Ben (Kathleen) Knight of Patchogue, NY; sisters, Luann Knight (Randy Cash) of Salina; Donita Knight of Topeka; Jan (Danny) Williams of Mountain Home, Ark; Terrresia Lujan of Newton; Grandson, Blake L. E. S. Swarts of Ellsworth, KS; Great-Grandchildren, Zayden Swarts of Ellsworth, KS, and Nova Swarts of Abilene, TX; Godson, Patrick (Sloan) Knight of Greenlaw, NY. He was a beloved Uncle to his many Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews. He was loved and will be missed by his many friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Betty (Storey) Knight; his brother, Darrell Allen Knight.
Family will receive friends and family at Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Herington Chapel, from 9:30am – 10:30am Thursday, June 2, 2020. A graveside service will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington Ks, at 11am.
Family is requesting memorials be made to Yazel-Megli Funeral home to defer the expenses.
