TOPEKA - Kansas Wesleyan Women's Indoor Track saw more student-athletes record personal bests and another school record was broken as the Coyotes competed at the Washburn Open on Friday and Saturday.
Hailey Nordus ran a new personal best in the 800m with a time of 2:20.38, finishing 19th. Kirstin Hackney finished 32nd with a time of 2:24.64.
In the 3000m, Alayna Behrman set a new personal best by a whopping 27 seconds, finishing 19th with a time of 10:45.37. Mya Schweitzer was 37th with a time of 11:32.03.
The 4x400m relay team of Brionna Floyd, Ava Kenyon, Mayce Russell and Julie Rottinghaus set another school record with a time of 4:11.24, placing 21st.
The distance medley relay team of Kirstin Hackney, Hailey Nordhus, Joni Schroeder and Madisyn Ehrlich placed fifth with a time of 12:33.26.
In the 600 yard run, Ava Kenyon was 32nd with a time if 1:33.37 and Lauryn Mikkelson was 33rd with a time of 1:34.36.
In the mile, Madisyn Ehrlich was 26th with a time of 5:12.29, Joni Schroeder was 48th with a time of 5:26.21, and Josie Koppes was 54th with a time of 5:34.99.
Josie Koppes was 38th in the 5000m with a time of 19:20.27.
Julie Rottinghaus placed 37th in the long jump with a mark of 4.68m.
Chloe Grusing was 31st in the shot put with a mark of 11.21m and Elizabeth Stout was 34th with a mark of 11.15m.
Elizabeth Stout was 35th in the weight throw with a mark of 12.74m.
Julie Rottinghaus ran a time of 8.35 seconds in the 60m preliminaries.
Brionna Floyd ran a time of 27.33 seconds in the 200m.
The Coyotes will run one more time before the KCAC Championships when they head to the Concordia Indoor Invitational next weekend in Seward, Neb.
