Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run collision early this morning in central Salina.
A 2011 Subaru Impreza was southbound in the 800 block of Sherman Street when it hit a legally parked 2012 Chevrolet Cruze and then rolled once, coming to rest in the middle of Sherman Street, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning. The accident occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. Wednesday.
A witness heard the crash, looked out and saw a white male with red hair walking around the Impreza, Forrester said. The man was described as being five-foot, 10-inches tall and weighing 235 pounds. The man then left the scene, the witness said.
The Impreza had damage all over and had to be towed. The Cruze had rear end damage.
Police are attempting to locate the registered owner of the Impreza, Forrester said.
