World Series Champion and former KC Royals great Greg Pryor will be at The Yard Saturday for a day of elite training.
Pryor spent 10 seasons as a major league baseball player in the 1970s and 1980s and was an infielder on the 1985 Kansas City Royals World Series championship team.
The day is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. when Pryor will meet with area coaches and trainers for a “Coach the Coaches” session. This is open to anyone who is currently coaching baseball or softball or interested in getting into coaching.
His first camp “Elite” begins at 10:30 a.m., baseball camp for ages 9-12.
At 1:30 p.m., the second baseball camp, “Next Level,” will begin for ages 13+.
Both camps are two hours long, $40 for non-members, and have limited capacity.
The day will conclude with a Complimentary Player Assessment Combine and Local Player Recruitment Night, open to the public for any player who wants to create a benchmark for current baseball or softball skills, speed and agility and also, be seen. Local youth coaches will be on-sight recruiting for 2022 seasons. All players and coaches are welcome.
