LAWRENCE, Kan. – Six Jayhawks were selected to Associated Press All-Big 12 Football teams, the organization announced on Thursday, including first team selections for cornerback Mello Dotson and offensive guard Michael Ford Jr.
Among the Jayhawks selected to the AP All-Big 12 teams are Ford (First Team, offensive guard), Dotson (First Team, cornerback), Logan Brown (Second Team, offensive tackle), Bryce Foster (Second Team, center), Devin Neal (Second Team, running back) and Cobee Bryant (Second Team, cornerback).
Dotson, of Dayton Beach, Fla., led the Big 12 with three interceptions in 2024, which were tied for the third most nationally. Dotson returned two of his four interceptions for touchdowns, which were tied for the most in all of FBS. Over his career, Dotson totaled 12 interceptions, 177 total tackles and 37 passes defended. Dotson’s four interceptions returned for touchdowns set the Kansas school record. Dotson was recently named to the All-Big 12 First Team (Coaches) for the first time in his career.
Ford started all 12 games at guard for Kansas in 2024, as part of an offense that averaged 211.4 rushing yards per game, which were the second most in the Big 12 and No. 13 nationally. In addition, the Kansas offensive line allowed just 10 sacks, the fewest in the Big 12 Conference. Ford was named AP All-Big 12 Second Team in 2023.
Earning Second Team honors, Brown started 11 games at tackle for Kansas, while Foster started all 12 games at center. Both Brown and Foster earn AP All-Big 12 honors for the first time in their careers.
Neal concludes his Kansas career as the all-time leader in rushing yards (4,343), rushing touchdowns (49), total touchdowns (53) and 100-yard rushing games (20). Neal earns AP All-Big 12 Second Team honors after being named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention (Coaches). Neal finished his senior season with 1,266 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns, both of which ranked in the top-five in the Big 12 Conference.
