May 1, 1948 - September 2, 2022

Carol Joye (McElroy) Flinn, 74, of Lebanon, MO, passed away in her home on Friday, September 2, 2022. She was born May 1, 1948 in Concordia, Kansas to Carl and Opal McElroy and was raised on the family farm near Randall with her parents and sister Judy.

Carol had a contagious zeal for life and deep love for her family and friends. She raised her three boys to understand that they were loved and accepted unconditionally. Her sometimes-unconventional sense of fun left lasting memories for those that knew her and inspired others to enjoy life.

Carol married Larry Flinn in 2001 and together they devoted their lives to the Lord.

Her passion was to share the saving grace of Jesus with others and help them develop a relationship with Him. She put her faith in action through her ministry Hearts for Jesus and praise dancing. Carol was sensitive to the call of the Holy Spirit and would go wherever she was led to share Jesus and His saving grace.

Carol divided her time between her homes in Lebanon, Missouri and Beloit, Kansas. One of the greatest joys of her life was time spent with family and friends. Carol enjoyed retirement with her husband Larry, and the company of those seeking to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Carol and Larry delighted in stewardship of their land in Missouri which they named Praise Mountain.

arol is survived by her husband Larry, sons Shaun (Sharon) Kibbe of Sabetha, Jason Kibbe of Lawrence, Jeremy (Karl Dawn) Stover of Beloit, stepdaughters Stacey (Todd) Schwartz of Newnan, GA and Kelley (Mark) DeMuth of Peachtree City, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brandon, Riley, Braden, Zachary, Jessa, Lilah, Brianna, Conner, Landon, Sophia, Elijah, and Gavin. Carol was blessed by close relationships to her nieces Sandra (Russ) Henningsen and Angela Dreher.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Opal McElroy and sister Judy Zimmer.
