Mr. Anthony J. Holt passed away on April 18th in his Salina home–he was 66 years old. Anthony was born in Salina in 1958 to the parents of Rachel Holt Fikes and Willie J. Holt (deceased).

Anthony leaves behind his children Sydney Holt and Andrew Holt, sisters Dianna Graham, Lisa Graham and Stephanie Holt Burse (husband Harvey), brothers Alfred Carroll (wife Patricia Ann) and Kirk Holt (wife Patricia Givand), his Aunt Arlena Prim, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anthony never sought the limelight and was a relatively private person. Anthony served in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1978 as an Infantryman. He worked in several capacities as a construction worker and truck driver over his career. Anthony’s passion was cooking which was his true love language! He loved to showcase his mastery of the grill, roaster and deep-fryer!

The family is planning a memorial service to celebrate Anthony’s life! The service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at St. Johns’ Missionary Baptist Church, 215 South Chicago Street, Salina KS and will be a celebration of life! We invite all family and friends to join us in this celebration!

The family have been so touched with the outpouring of love and support during this time of need. Anthony’s passing has been difficult, particularly any time a mother has to put a child to rest.
