Salina Commissioners approved to redevelop a zoning lot for Salina Regional Health Center to build a new surgery center and medical clinic.

A 2.38-acre city-owned zoning lot, consisting of multiple lots near the area of 320 S. 4th Street, is the proposed area of construction.

The approval will allow lots 174-178 (R-3, Multiple Family Residential) & 186, 188 (C-3, Shopping Center) to a unified C-4 (Central Business) zoning district.

This amendment facilitates the construction of a new three-story surgery center and medical clinic featuring a 32,856 square foot building footprint, according to the city.

The C-4 district includes a broad range of commercial and retail uses, such as medical clinics.
