July 16, 1931 - August 14, 2021

Dorothy’s life began on July 16, 1931, the daughter of Harold and Laura (Ketterman) Haring in Atlanta, Kansas. She graduated from Leon High Class of 1949 and married Lewis Glass on November 10, 1957, at the First Baptist Church in El Dorado, KS.

She worked for the Remington School District as a para-professional in 1987 and later became the secretary to the high school principal until retiring in 1994. She loved her family, and enjoyed her flowers, quilting, puzzles and mowing her yard. She was a member of the Remington Historical Society.

Her loving family includes her daughter Kathy Hoch and her husband, Mark of Potwin, Kansas; grandson Matthew Hoch and his wife, Tara of Benton; great-grandchildren Dakota, Cheyenne and Aspen Hoch; granddaughter Amy Vanderford and her husband Chris of Potwin, great-grandchildren Lane, Cole and Paisley Vanderford; son Richard Glass and his wife, Renee of Cherryvale, Kansas; granddaughter LeAnne Myhill and husband David of Monroe, Washington; great-grandchildren Noah and Sophia Myhill; grandson Brandon Losh of Cherryvale; granddaughter Holly Losh and fiancé Corey Sanders of Independence, Kansas; great-grandchildren Eli Sanders, Talan Paul, Lacie Sanders and Jaxton Sanders; granddaughter Heather Poe and husband, Dallas Poe of John Day, Oregon; great-grandchildren Brexton, Haven and Kannon Poe; granddaughter Megan Morris and fiancé Nathaniel Madl of Thayer, Kansas; great-grandchildren Stetson Madl and Ava Dugan; and son Paul Glass of Benton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lewis in 2013 and her sister, Doris Haskell.

Dorothy passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at home, at the age of 90 years old.

Graveside services will be held Aug. 25, at 11 a.m. at Brainerd Cemetery, next to her husband, with Ethan Harvey officiating. Under the circumstances of COVID, the family will understand if you do not feel comfortable attending.
