Patricia "Pat" Joyce Sears, went to be with her sweetheart, "Lep," on December 28, 2020, in Olathe, KS, at the age of 68.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Carol Sears; brothers Carl Sears & Robert Sears; sister Jeanne Sears; and her soul-mate Delbert "Lep" Bumgarner.
She is survived by her sister Barbara (Paul) Haley of Delphos; brother Kenneth (Ruth) Sears of Salina; six beloved nephews; and 15 great-nephews & great-nieces. Pat had no biological children but felt for, and followed, her nephews as if they were her own.
Pat was born in Salina on April 18, 1952 and graduated from Tescott High School in 1970. She took courses at Brown Mackie College in Salina, which were completed in the spring of 1971.
Pat's employment was, mostly, for Salina Regional Health Center. She wore many hats over the years as a ward clerk, aide, telemetry tech, and as a switchboard operator before she retired.
Pat enjoyed attending car shows and racing events with Lep and, especially, loved being involved with her nephews.
There will be no visitation at this time and funeral arrangements are being handled by Ryan Mortuary in Salina, KS. She will be laid to rest with Lep, Jeanne, and her parents at Highland Cemetery in Minneapolis, KS.
