Someone stole more than $1,000 worth of items from a north Salina Church early this month.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning that sometime between Saturday and Monday, someone stole a number of items from the maintenance area of Salina Church of Christ, 1646 North Ninth Street. Many of the items belonged to an 86-year-old church maintenance worker and included the following, Forrester explained.
A gray tool box ($100)
A Dewalt tool box with tools ($100)
A red tool box with tools ($100)
A laser level ($70)
A sachel with pipe wrenches and other tools ($250)
Miscellaneous bits and blades ($200)
A brad nailer ($100)
A tool pouch with pliers ($100)
Additionally, a Stihl blower ($100) belonging to the church, also was taken, Forrester noted.
