Eagle Radio in Salina is asking you to help pump up the volume during the Salina Community Blood Drive June 27-29.
Blood donations decline in late spring and early summer – especially during holiday weeks, like Memorial Day and Independence Day – but the need for blood and platelet transfusions doesn’t take a summer break, according to the American Red Cross. Generous blood and platelet donors are critically important in ensuring lifesaving care is available the moment patients need it.
The schedule for the Salina Community Blood Drive at Sunrise Presbyterian Church, 825 E. Beloit Avenue, is as follows.
June 27: noon-6:30 p.m.
June 28: noon-6:30 p.m.
June 29: 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
Persons who donate will be eligible for a $5 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice.
