Jacob E. "Jack" Bigler, 80, of Wichita died on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the Ascencion Via Christi St. Joseph Hospital. He was born October 4, 1942 in Clay Center, the son of Jacob and Mae (Talbot) Bigler.
Jack grew up in Clay Center and graduated from CCCHS in 1960. He worked for C&N Auto Parts and for his uncle at Bigler’s Station. Jack traveled the throughout the United States before ending up in Long Beach, California. He married Sharon Sharp on June 28, 1964 in Las Vegas and worked at Pep Boys in California before the couple moved to Wichita. Jack worked as a salesman for Harley Industries for 12 years and then he worked for P.B. Hoidale in sales for 20 years until his retirement in 2009. He is preceded in death by parents, brother, Bruce Bigler and 2 sisters, LaNora Eshelman and Connie Halum.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Bigler of Wichita, Kansas; son, David Bigler of Overland Park, Kansas; daughter, Deborah Bigler of Clearwater, Florida; 2 grandchildren, Amelia Mae Bigler and Evan Avery Bigler; brother, Jim and wife, Yolanda Bigler of Las Vegas, Nevada and aunt, Dorothy Brown of Clay Center, Kansas.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 10:30AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 4-7 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to Meadowlark Hospice, the Clay Center Carnegie Library or CCARE and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
