The Abilene Cowboys (6-2), will open postseason play at home this Friday when they play host to the Ark City Bulldogs (1-7).
This will be the first all-time meeting between the two sides, as the Bulldogs make their transition from 5A.
“We are excited to be hosting a playoff game again this year at Cowboy Stadium," Abilene head coach Brad Nicks said. "Our players are focused, ready for the postseason, and can't wait to play on Friday. One of our pre-season goals was to win a playoff game and host the second round, that's our focus right now and the only thing we care about.”
The winner of this matchup will advance to the round of 16 in this year's 4A playoff to face either Andover Central (5-3) or Independence (3-5).
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 at Cowboy Stadium in Abilene.
