UPDATE: Multiple winter weather advisories issued for our area

UPDATE 3:45 p.m. Friday: The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued winter weather advisories for additional counties in our area.

Snow is expected to move into central Kansas late tonight and shift southeast through Saturday.

NWS in Wichita has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 3 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday for the following counties in our area.

Lincoln County

Marion County

McPherson County

Saline County

Snow is expected, with total accumulations of up to two inches.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Slow down and use caution while traveling.

NWS in Hastings, Neb., has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 10 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday for the following counties in our area.

Jewell County

Mitchell County

Snow is expected, with total accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Isolated higher amounts are possible. This is expected to be a fluffy snow, accompanied by wind gusts of 20-25 mph. Blowing snow will be a concern at times.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could reduce visibility. Slow down and use caution while traveling.

NWS in Topeka has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 3 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday for the following counties in our area.

Clay County

Cloud County

Dickinson County

Ottawa County

Republic County

Snow is expected, with total accumulations of 2 to 5 inches.
