A reported stolen vehicle was found abandoned along a Salina area road.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on April 16 at around 8:00 am, a 26-year-old female reported her white 2009 Hyundai Sonata was stolen from the front of her residence in central Salina.

Reportedly, the keys for the vehicle had been left in a black Ford Focus in the driveway of the same residence. The suspect(s) had entered the Focus and stole the keys and a stereo from the Focus. 

Just prior to reporting the vehicle theft, the Sheriff’s Office had responded to a southeast Salina road for an abandoned vehicle, which turned out to be the Hyundai Sonata.
