
Darrel Dean Fosdick, 87 years of age, of Clyde, Kansas, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, Kansas.
He was born on May 2, 1938, in Miltonvale, Kansas, to Earl Frank and Alice Elvira (Smith) Fosdick.
He attended Miltonvale schools and graduated from Miltonvale High School in 1955. He joined the US Army and served overseas in Germany during peacetime. He spent 20 years working as a diesel mechanic and then 10 years as a truck driver for Bernard Chavey Trucking in Clyde.
Darrell enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
He was a member of the VFW Post 7515 of Clyde.
Darrel is survived by his best friend, Glennis Fosdick of Clyde, KS; three daughters, Jaque Fosdick of Claremore, OK, Angela Callihan of Concordia, KS, and Terri (Jeff) Rush of Salina, KS; one son, Lance Fosdick of San Antonio, TX; sister Joyce Mosburg of Clay Center, KS; step-son, Jon Kegle ofKauai; step-daughter, Stephanie (Toby) Morris of Florence, SC; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Kegle, parents, Earl and Alice, sons, Tracey Fosdick and Marc Fosdick, and brothers, Gale Fosdick, Harvey Fosdick and Ronald Fosdick.
Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Miltonvale City Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas with Pastor Michael Ostermann officiating.
