Carol A. (Nutter) Chartier, age 75, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023, at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS. Visitation will be Friday, November 10, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Nutter Mortuary. Graveside Services will be on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Zion Cemetery, Rural Concordia, KS. The casket will remain closed. A full obituary will follow. Nutter Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Carol A. (Nutter) Chartier, age 75, entered into rest on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Park Villa nursing home, Clyde, Kansas. She was born on February 23, 1948 in Concordia, Kansas to Maurice and Lorene (Wilson) Nutter.
Carol was a 1966 graduate of Clyde High School, Clyde, Kansas. She was joined in marriage to Larry Chartier on September 21, 1973, and they farmed together until his passing in 2021.
Carol, with her warm and loving nature, touched the lives of many and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was passionate about reading, feline companions, and gardening. She cherished meaningful conversations, always lending a compassionate ear. She inspired those who knew her by using her remarkable problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Among the greatest joys in Carol’s life were her sons and, later, each of her grandchildren. She was always up for a social game when the family got together for holidays.
Carol will be missed by Three Sons, David Combs of Manhattan, Kansas; Ronnie (Laura) Chartier of Hays, Kansas; John (Amy) Chartier of Fort Fairfield, Maine; two Siblings – Gary (Lois) Nutter of Concordia, Kansas and Christine (Phil) Nault of Camano, Washington, Grandchildren – Elsie, Jaxson, Damian, and Boedy of Hays, Kansas; Hannah, Benjamin, Samuel, and Micah of Fort Fairfield, Maine, Zachary (Sara) Doyle and great-grandson Brogan of Manhattan, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Nutter Mortuary.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Zion Cemetery, Republic County.
