The Southeast of Saline boys basketball team will head to Ellinwood for the final non-league game of their regular season tonight.

SES comes into this contest riding their longest win streak of the season at seven games but will have their hands full with a 16-1 Ellinwood team ranked as the #4 team in Class 2A.

The Eagles have dominated their opponents this season, outscoring the opposition by over 400 total points and 25 on average.

Much of that damage has been done by junior Brit Dutton, who has averaged an absurd 25 points per game so far this season.

Dutton and company will be looking to avenge a 66-52 loss at the hands of Southeast last season, with both teams improving quite a bit since last season.

“This game will be challenging,” SES head coach Bryson Flax said. “Everything runs through Brit but what we can’t do is bail him out and send them to the line the way we did last year and we also have to rebound really well.”

Tip-off between the Trojans and Eagles is set for 7 pm following the girl’s game at 6.

As always both games can be heard on KINA (910 AM or 107.5 FM) or streamed on the Salina Post.
