Craig Heald, 58, was born into eternal life on July 24, 2021. Craig was raised on the family farm in Minneapolis, Kansas where he graduated from Minneapolis High School with the class of 1981.
He attended college at Fort Hays, and later enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed at F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, Wyoming during his 22-year career. He served with distinction in several positions and earned numerous awards before retiring as the superintendent of the 400th Missile Squadron.
Craig met and married his wife Heidi in 1990 while they were stationed there. After he retired from the military, he continued to serve by becoming a teacher. He was a natural teacher and a wonderful mentor to so many of his students.
He was a member St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he and Heidi renewed their wedding vows, and he was confirmed in the Catholic faith in 2018. He was a wonderful, caring, devoted, and loving husband to Heidi and a genuinely kind person to those he met or knew.
Craig recently moved to Houston, Texas to be near his son and his family. He continued to teach in Houston bringing his humor and compassion to students in class. He was both a teacher and a stable role model to all of his students.
