It's almost time for Shane McClintock's annual Toy A Thon!

Once again, Shane will be sleeping outside until 5,000 toys are collected for local organizations. The event kicks off Saturday morning at Walmart, 2900 South Ninth Street, and will continue until 4 p.m. Sunday.

Toys should be new and unwrapped and can be from anywhere.

According to 99KG's McClintock, the person who brings the toy total to 5,000 will receive Summer Splash 2021 VIP passes and tickets to see Luke Combs at the Heartland Stampede!

That's not all!

"If you help us hit 5,000 by 4 p.m. Sunday, we’ll team up with Crazy Ed's Tent Rental to bring Santa to town Monday evening at the 99KG studios!" McClintock said.

Personnel from the Salina Police Department and the Saline County Sheriff's Office will be at both Walmart entrances to provide information about the Toy A Thon.

McClintock said that every hour, the toy bins from the entrances will be emptied and the toys counted and added to the Doug Bradley Trucking trailer in front of Walmart until the 5,000 goal is reached.

The toys will be distributed among the following organizations.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina

Child Advocacy & Parenting Services

Ashby House

The Salvation Army Salina

Catholic Charities

Salina Child Care Association

Salina Area United Way
