A driver sustained minor injuries after he was ejected from a motorcycle late Monday afternoon in south Salina.
Aaron Unruh, 23, of Wichita, was southbound on S. Ohio Street near the intersection with E. Schilling Road on a 2009 Honda CBR motorcycle when an unknown vehicle pulled out, causing Unruh to swerve and hit the curb, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning. Unruh was ejected from the motorcycle. The accident occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. Monday.
Forrester said that two witnesses reported the motorcycle was traveling at speeds between 60-70 mph. A third witness said an eastbound vehicle came off of E. Schilling Road in front of the motorcycle.
Unruh, who was wearing a helmet, sustained minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital, Forrester said.
Unruh was cited for reckless driving, Forrester said.
