James Matthew Pence, 72, of Salina, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022. He was born November 26, 1950, in Pratt, KS to Raymond and Maxine Lois Pence.
He worked as a painter for Tom Miller Painting for 30-plus years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert Ray Pence and Tim Pence, and sister Sandy Wright.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 18 years, though they were together for 43 years, Marla J. Pence, his daughter Christine “Chris” (John) Taddiken of Salina, his son David (Pam) Albright of Ellis, and Tim Brown of Salina, brother Bill (Tammy) Pence of Alta Vista, four sisters - Charlene (Jerry) Zelenka of Wilson, Vicki Frost of Sudek, Jackie (Henry) Martinez of Minneapolis, and Dawn Dearing of Ellsworth, grandsons Justin Taddiken of KC, MO and Dillon Taddiken and significant other Macie Powell of Salina, sisters-in-law Sharon Pence and Marge Pence, brother-in-law Rusty Wright, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., also at the Chapel. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
