LINDSBORG -- The McPherson County Sheriff's Office asks citizens to help welcome home longtime member of the department.
"We are elated to hear Doug will be transferred back home to the Lindsborg Hospital on Monday 03/29/2021 via medical transport and law enforcement escort," the sheriff's office noted on its Facebook page.
"We are asking the citizens of McPherson County to show your support for Doug and help us welcome him back home. We are expecting Doug to be back at approximately 1:30 p.m. If you would like to participate, you can line the sidewalk along Lincoln Street from Harrison / Cole to Cedar Street in Lindsborg by wearing anything Purple for Doug’s beloved K-State Wildcats. Please don’t park anywhere in the hospital parking areas and also be prepared to move a parked vehicle if an emergency vehicle need in and out of the area. We know this is short notice, but great things happen quickly!!" the sheriff's office requested.
