A official new site for the upcoming Boys and Girls Club of Salina facility has been proposed.

On Monday, the proposed location presented to City Commissioners was north of Sunset Park where the former tennis courts were located.
This decision comes after the Mexican-American baseball league community that uses the field frequently, voiced concerns of restricting field use.
City Manager Jacob Wood confirmed several hundred people use the field.
The Boys and Girls Club requests support from city on the following aspects:
- Establishment of a long-term lease agreement for the portion of land just south of Sunset Park.
- Platting and rezoning of the property.
- Extension of water and sewer services to the property line.
- Grounds maintenance and snow removal.
- Road and Parking Improvements.
- Formal partnership to guide the collaborative agreement.
Commissioners would need to approve the consideration in a separate public meeting, before anything is finalized.
