Have the long and hot Summer days been slowing you down? Stop by City Lights Stage in Downtown Salina this Friday from 6-10 p.m. to jump-start your weekend with the "Dog Days of Summer Concert" sponsored by Nex-Tech, Messenger Total Promotions and Salina Downtown Inc.
"This is a new concert for us," said Leslie Bishop, executive director for Downtown Salina Inc. said. "We wanted to do something later in the month because our first Friday wasn't going to be necessarily a musical group like they typically are."
July's First Friday concert featured local dance groups Revolution School of Dance, Tamara Howe School of Dance, Della's Dance Studio, and Taylor's Twirlers.
"We are so excited to have Savanna Chestnut and the Field Hands perform. Savanna was on 'The Voice' Season 20," Bishop said. "We also have the Good Sam Club Band, from six to 10."
Bishop also said the Food by Bonnie food truck will be at the concert.
