MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State women’s basketball head coach Jeff Mittie has added another highly rated freshman to the 2025-26 roster, as Brandie Harrod has signed with the Wildcats.
Harrod, a product of Oklahoma City, is a four-star prospect and ranked number 59 overall by ESPNHoopGurlz. She is also a 4-star prospect and the number 38 rated player in the nation by ProspectsNation.com. Harrod also garnered a number 42 ranking in the nation and the number 7 prospect in Oklahoma by 247sports.
During her high school career with Putnam City North, Harrod averaged 19.0 points per game, 6.0 assists, 9.0 rebounds and 1 block. In her senior season, Harrod helped the Panthers win the school’s first girls basketball state title by averaging 13.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.5 assists.
K-State concluded the 2024-25 season with its 19th NCAA Tournament bid and the fourth Sweet 16 appearance in program history. The Wildcats registered the second-most wins in a season in school history with 28 and tied for the second-most wins in a two-season span (54). K-State was ranked in both the Associated Press and Coaches polls for the entirety of the season.
