Woman hospitalized in Salina after 2-vehicle crash

OTTAWA COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Sunday in Ottawa County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Chevy Suburban driven by Dana Dramse, 47, Grand Island, Nebraska was northbound on U.S. 81 ten miles south of Minneapolis. The Suburban was following a 2023 Toyota Camry driven by Bridget Jeannette Omotosho, 57, Fort Worth Texas.

The Camry was in the driving lane. The Suburban changed lanes to pass the Camry and the Camry changed lanes as well.

The SUV made an avoidance maneuver to avoid striking car but was unable to do so and a crash occurred.

A passenger in the SUV Michelle Dramse, 48, Grand Island, Nebraska, was transported to Salina Regional Health Center. The drivers and three other passengers in the Suburban were not injured. All were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
