Two minor quakes strike SE Saline County early Friday

GYPSUM - Two minor earthquakes shook parts of southeastern Saline County early Friday morning, according to the Kansas Geological Survey..

The first, a 2.9 magnitude quake, struck at 4:59 a.m. Friday southwest of Gypsum. It was centered just north of E. Lapsley Road between S. Niles Road and S. Cunningham Road.

The second, a 2.0 magnitude earthquake, struck at 5:48 a.m. Friday southwest of Gypsum. It was centered east of S. Cunningham Road between E. Hedberg Road and E. Assaria Road.
