It looks like our Independence Day will be a beautiful July day.
Near normal temperatures and partly sunny skies are expected on Saturday with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita.
Although an isolated storm cannot be ruled out across southeast Kansas in the afternoon, most areas are expected to remain dry.

It will be a pleasant summer evening across the area later today, NWS noted. Light easterly winds and near-normal temperatures are expected. Shower/storm chances in southeast Kansas should gradually end by midnight.
