KWU women's golf 3rd in fall finale in Arizona

MESA, Ariz. – Hannah Hart (SO/Ventura, Calif.) shot a 163 to tie for third place to lead the Kansas Wesleyan women's golf team to a third place finish in the Redhawk Rumble, hosted by Benedictine Mesa on Monday and Tuesday at Red Mountain Ranch Country Club.

The tournament was the fall season finale for the Coyotes.

Hart carded rounds of 86 and 77 for a 163, tying Mesa CC's Abby Schmidt for third place in the final standings. Corey Mein (JR/Liberal, Kan.) was in the Top 10 as well for the Coyotes with rounds of 83 and 86 for a 169, tying for seventh place. Kristen Sayyalinh (JR/Rockford, Ill.) also earned a Top 10 finish, placing 10th with a score of 171.

Aidan Richmond (SO/Keller, Texas) tied for 15th with a 177, Abby Donovan (FR/Concordia, Kan.) was 17th with a 180, and Thalia Ramirez (SO/Leawood, Kan.) was 18th with a 183 to round out the finishers for the Coyotes.

KWU was third in the team standings with a score of 680, 19 shots behind Ottawa Arizona. The Coyotes were comfortably in third, finishing 107 shots ahead of Northwestern (Iowa) who finished with a score of 787.

Mesa CC was the team champion with score of 656, and Mesa's Alyzzah Vakasioula was the individual champion with a 3-over 147 for the tournament to win by eight shots.
