Robert D. Swanson, age 62, Concordia, KS, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at North Central Kansas Medical Center, Concordia, KS. He was born on March 5, 1960 in Concordia, KS to Richard D. & Berneda M. (Roberts) Swanson
Bob attended school in Concordia and later NCK Tech in Beloit for brick laying school.
He was a true handy man and jack of all trades. He worked as a welder, brick layer, carpet installer and many other useful traits. He helped his father at The Floor Store and later owned and operated Rug & Wrap.
Bob loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and raced R/C cars for several years. Bob was a people person and enjoyed a host of friends.
He is survived by his mother Berneda Swanson, Concordia; children Colsen, Cambrie and Caigen Swanson, Concordia; grandchild Shevelle Smith, Arkansas; brother Darrell Swanson, Concordia; sister Darla Jacobs (Roger), Jamestown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded by his daughter Sara Swanson Smith; his father Richard and an infant sister, Catherine Ann.
The family selected cremation and memorial services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at The Weselyan Church, Concordia with Rev. David Redmond and Pastor Bob Burns officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Concordia. Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2023 from 1-8 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6-7 p.m. all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
The family suggest memorials to the family to be determined a later date in care of the funeral home.
