Arnold earns KCAC Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week honor

WICHITA, Kan. - Kansas Wesleyan's Kori Arnold has been named as the KCAC Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week for her efforts in matches for the Coyotes last week.

The KCAC Player of the Week program is administered and voted upon by conference sports information directors and is presented at the conference level by Equity Bank.

Arnold had two impressive matches as libero for the Coyotes to open the season. Against College of Saint Mary, she had 33 digs, averaging 8.25 per set. She then averaged 5.0 digs per set in the match against Hastings. She also added a few assists along the way, setting up kills when setters covered blocks.In KWU's two matches last week, she averaged 6.63 digs per set with 53 total digs.

Kansas Wesleyan went 1-1 to open the season last weekend at the Hastings College Classic in Hastings, Nebraska. The season continues this weekend as the Coyotes head to Fort Worth, Texas for the Texas Two-Step Tournament hosted by Texas Wesleyan and Nelson University on Friday and Saturday.

The Coyotes will not make their home debut until September 20 when KWU hosts Benedictine at Mabee Arena.
