A Salina woman was arrested after a two-vehicle wreck in central Salina Thursday morning.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning that Cory Harrison, 33, of Salina, who was eastbound on W. Iron Avenue in a 2007 Dodge Caliber, allegedly ran the red light at Ninth Street and struck a northbound 2019 Toyota Highlander driven by Penny Baker, 56, of McPherson. The accident occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m. Thursday.

Forrester said that Harrison was found to be under the influence of alcohol and after being treated for minor injuries at Salina Regional Health Center, was arrested on the following requested charges.

●Running a red light

●No driver's license in possession

●Driving under the influence of alcohol

Baker and a 60-year-old male passenger were not injured, he said.

Both the Caliber and Highlander sustained front-end damage and had to be towed, Forrester said.
