Three suspects arrested after allegedly entering an abandoned building forcibly

Salina Police arrest three suspects who allegedly forced entry into an abandoned building and attempted to steal items.

According to the Salina Police Department on Tuesday, June 17th at around 6:45 pm, police were called to respond to an abandoned building in the 600 block of Reynolds. It was reported that neighbors in the area saw three individuals enter into the building.

When officers arrived to the scene, they were able to determine that a window on the building had been 'forced open.' Furthermore, officers heard movement inside the building and began to order the people to exit the building.

After officers informed the individuals to exit the building, they reportedly arrested two females and one male suspects. The suspects were identified as: 

Brittney Smith (25) of Holton, KS; Stephanie Judd (38) of Salina and Joseph Mastin (25) of Salina.

Allegedly, the suspects had 'forced entry and were attempting to take miscellaneous items from the building.' Police determined that total attempted loss and damage was valued at $485.

Smith, Judd and Mastin are facing charges of Burglary, Theft and Damage to Property.
