
Edward Dean Mock, 81, of Salina, KS, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025. He was born June 6, 1944, in Eureka, KS, to Milton Edward and Pauline (Denner) Mock.
Ed was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Hall on September 29, 1984, in Ft. Stewart, GA.
Ed retired from the United States Army as a Sergeant Major after 23 years, which included service in the Vietnam War. Ed and Pat settled in Salina where he continued his career as a mechanic for five years with MSS Transport and 13 years with the City of Salina, retiring in 2006. Ed loved to garden and watch the birds. He had a huge heart and a never-ending sense of humor. He will be missed by all who loved him!
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Pat; daughters, Kimberly Beining (David), Tamera Kruse (Steve), and Holli Denton (Richard); son, Greylyn Gilson (Vikki); brother, Steven Mock; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Milton “Dan” Mock Sr., Paula Goodell, and Patricia Lawrence.
No services are planned at this time. Interment will occur at a later date at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Ft. Riley/Manhattan, KS.
