JOPLIN, Mo. - (TOURNAMENT BOX SCORE) Kansas Wesleyan Women's Golf claimed the 2025 KCAC Women's Golf Championship for a second straight season on Wednesday, cruising to a 40-shot win over the rest of the field at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club.
It's the second straight conference title for the Coyotes and fourth in the last five years for the program.
Abby Donovan, who was named the KCAC Player of the Year for a second straight season as announced on Tuesday, won the tournament, marking the second straight year a KWU player has won the KCAC Individual Championship.
Donovan was the lone player in the field to score all three rounds in the 70s, carding a 77 in the first round, a 78 in the second and finishing Wednesday with a 79 for a total score of 234. She claimed a four-shot win over Tabor's Valencia Andov.
Also finishing in the Top 10 for the Coyotes was Chaney Littell and Sarah Krenowicz. Littell tied for sixth with rounds of 78, 87 and 85 to finish with a score of 250. Krenowicz was ninth with a 252 after rounds of 85, 86 and 81.
Ryann Warren placed 13th with a score of 262 after rounds of 81, 94 and 87 for the tournament.
Emily Stamper played two of three rounds for the Coyotes with scores of 92 in the first round and 91 in the second round.
Kelsey Essex carded a 92 in the second round.
The Coyotes cruised to the team championship, besting Oklahoma Wesleyan by 40 shots. KWU shot a 996 for the tournament with rounds of 321, 343 and 332. OKWU was second with a score of 1036.
Southwestern had an impressive run in Wednesday's third round to rally to finish third with a score of 1041. Friends was fourth with a 1053, Ottawa was fifth with an 1102, Bethel was sixth with an 1148, Evangel was seventh with an 1155 and Bethany was a distant eighth with a score of 1430. Tabor had three individuals play in the tournament and did not post a team score.
