A red flag warning has been issued for counties in our area.
The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a red flag warning in effect from noon to 6 p.m. Friday that includes the following counties in our area.
Ellsworth County
Lincoln County
Very high to extreme grassland fire danger is forecast. Winds from the north at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph and relative humidity as low as 20 percent are forecast.
Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly and become very difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
