A car was damaged in a hit-and-run accident late Thursday afternoon in central Salina.
A vehicle described as a gray four-door sedan was westbound in the 400 block of Charles Street when it struck a legally parked 2007 Toyota Yaris, according to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester. The incident occurred at 5:50 p.m. Thursday.
A witness told police that the gray vehicle was possibly a 2000s model Chevy Impala.
The Yaris sustained damage to the driver side mirror and the wheel well, and the front bumper had been detached, Forrester noted.
