Debra Lynn "Debi" Hill, 68, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away peacefully at 9:45 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2021 at Cedars House.
Debi was born in McPherson, Kansas on January 1, 1953, a daughter of Robert L. and Shirley Ann (Shafer) Hill.
Debi attended the McPherson elementary schools and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1971. She then attended and graduated from Hutchinson Junior College, Hutchinson, Kansas with her degree in accounting.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in McPherson.
Debi started working for the Hutchinson National Bank in the accounting department for three years prior to working for Keith G. Mines, Accounting, McPherson, Kansas as an assistant accountant for seven years. She then worked for McPherson Business Machines for 10 years as the bookkeeper and accountant, then worked three years for the McPherson County tag department prior to her retirement.
During her retirement she volunteered for M.C.D.S. and Disability Supports, both of McPherson and the gift shop at the McPherson Hospital.
Debi enjoyed all sporting events especially the NJCAA Basketball Tournaments in Hutchinson, Kansas where she had tickets for many years, cheering on the Bullpups, playing bingo and spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her siblings Craig Hill and wife Linda, of Wichita, Kansas, David Hill and wife Penni, of McPherson, Kansas and Barbara Austin and husband John, of Great Bend, Kansas; her aunt Betty Kuttler, of Spokane, Washington. She is also survived by her seven nieces and nephews, Robby Hill, Ryan Hill, Meredith Hill, Taryn Hill, Alby Harris, Grant Harris and Marley Harris and great-niece ShyAnne Koty Hill.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Shirley Hill and niece Katlyn Hill.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas, with the Reverend Tim Leaf officiating.
