Corey Todd Flood, 61, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at his home on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Corey was a Quality Control Inspector at Mid Kansas Machine and was a life-long resident of McPherson.
He was born Oct. 2, 1962, in McPherson, the son of Robert E. and Juanita M. “Corky” (Smay) Flood. Corey attended the McPherson Schools and graduated from McPherson High School in 1981.
On November 28, 1992, Corey was united in marriage to Ida Jean Oriet in McPherson. This union was blessed with five children.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Ida of the home; five children, Dillon Flood (Allison) of McPherson, Cassie Schoonover (Colton) of McPherson, Todd Flood of McPherson, Jamie Spaich (Levi) of Windom, KS, and Aerianna Flood of McPherson; two brothers, Mike Flood of Wichita, KS and Scott Flood (Georgia) of Newton, KS; six grandchildren, Katie, Cashton, Grace, Elijah, Rowan, and Timothy; mother-in-law & father-in-law, Nellie & Joseph Oriet of McPherson; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Robbin Clark.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, October 30, 2023, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 31, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
