CONCORDIA – For the first time this season and first time in her career, Cloud County Community College women's track and field athlete Leonie Beu has been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference women's track athlete of the week.

The award comes following Beu's performances at the 2021 Cowley Tiger Invitational where the freshman posted a pair of PR's and NJCAA Qualifying performances with times of 56.71 in the 400 meters and 24.59 in the 200 meters. The 400 meter time is the second-best time ran in the event at the NJCAA level this year while the 200 meter time earned Beu a third-place finish at the meet.

It marks the first time during the 2021 outdoor season that Cloud County has had a track and field athlete of the week and fifth time between the indoor and outdoor season this year that CCCC has had a track and field athlete of the week.
