Steven Wayne Moore
December 3, 1963 ~May 22, 2024

Steven Wayne Moore, born on December 3rd, 1963 in Temple, TX to Bobbie (Holloway) Brenton and Delton ‘John’ Moore, passed away May 22nd, 2024, doing something he loved, riding his Harley.

Steve was raised in Woodbine, KS by his grandparents, Robert and Anna Holloway, where he attended local schools.

Steve met Juanita ‘JJ’ Johnson and together they welcomed the light in his eyes, his girls, Amanda and Tabitha. The two married in 1983, later divorcing.

In 1991, Steve married his second wife, Gerri McKenney. With this union he welcomed two bonus children, Darcy and Jeremy. The couple moved to Onida, SD in 1993.

While living in Onida, Steve worked for local farmers, Morris Construction in Pierre, and Danbred Hog farm west of Onida. He was introduced to the local Masonic Lodge by his father in law, Marlin McKenney, and became a lifelong Freemason. Steve and Gerri raised their 4 children in Onida, divorcing in 2005.

Steve remained in Onida until 2013, he then moved to Salina, KS, to be closer to his Girls and Grandkids. He was working at Ovation Cabinetry in Salina at the time of his passing.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Amanda Moore and Tabitha (Jake) Area, 3 grandsons, Kaden Pazour, Alec Area, and Ryker Moore, 1 granddaughter, Racelee Meeks, bonus daughter, Darcy and family, bonus son Jeremy and his son Harvey, sisters, Melinda Moore, Lisa Moore, Cyndi House, Linda Lewey, Brenda Ellenbecker, brother John Michael Moore, uncles Charlie (Susan) Holloway, Noel Moore, aunts Nora Nito, Brenda Moore, nieces and nephews Cassandra Moore, Shelby Ramos, Sierra Ebert, Charlie Moore, Casey Schiedt, Brandi Ellenbecker, KJ Sutton, Andy Sutton, Lisa Swin, Tony Walker, Johnny Walker, LW House, Kimberly House, mother in law Nancy McKenney, several great nieces and nephews, and lots of extended family and friends. He is also survived by his sidekick, dog Pita.

Steve is proceeded in death by both of his parents, grandparents Robert and Anna Holloway, Mary Sellers and Virgil Moore, uncles Robert ‘Tex’ Holloway, Wesley Moore, Weldon Moore, Virgil ‘JR’ Moore, Thurman Moore, aunts Mary Moore, Beatrice Moore, father in law Marlin McKenney and granddaughter, Meka.

The family has chosen cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held at Browns Memorial Park in Abilene, KS on Saturday, June 8th, at 11 a.m.
