Lois Ferm
January 16, 1928 - October 4, 2022
Lois Ferm, 94, of Lindsborg passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at home. Lois was born January 16, 1928 in Halstead, KS to the late Gustav and the late Ella (Penner) Wiebe.
She married Landvis Ferm on January 18, 1947 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lindsborg and was a member throughout her life. Lois was confirmed at the First Mennonite Church of Halstead.
She came to Lindsborg her senior year and graduated at Lindsborg High School.
When the children were all in school, she went work as a CMA at Bethany Home.
Lois was involved in many clubs and organizations including Westside Club, American Legion Post #140 Auxiliary, Johnathan Club, card club, Jolly Mixers, and Prairie Sunbonnet Doll Club. She was also a 4-H and Girl Scout Leader.
She is survived by daughters Leanne Martin of Griffin, GA, and Lori Johnson of Sunrise Beach, MO; son Lesley Ferm of Roxbury, KS; grandchildren Jesse (Shana) Koorse, Kyrrha Martin, Jace (Lindsay) Martin, Julie (Alan) Ramsdale, Patrick Cox, Parker Johnson, and Brennan Johnson; and eight great-grandchildren.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 73 years, Landvis E. Ferm; daughters Lana Cox and Lisa Ferm; brothers Gustav, Carl, and John Wiebe; sister Edna Lohr; and grandson Michael Wheeler.
Cremation has been chosen. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23 at Smoky Hill Cemetery, Lindsborg, KS with Pastor Ben Fulton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice, American Legion Post #140 Auxiliary, or Smoky Valley Historical Association for care of Coronado Heights.
