The National Weather Service (NWS) in Topeka has issued flash flood warnings for counties in our area.

NWS issued a flash flood warning for Clay and Cloud counties until 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
At 7:25 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
IMPACT: Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area, NWS noted.
NWS in Topeka also issued a flash flood warning for Republic County until 11:15 p.m. Sunday.
At 7:21 p.m., law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.
IMPACT: Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
NWS in Hastings, Neb., has issued a flash flood warning until 10:15 p.m. Sunday for Jewell County.
At 7:10 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Radar estimates 1 to 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts in excess of an inch are possible this evening from multiple rounds of thunderstorms. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
