Saline County law enforcement is investigating an alleged burglary.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on August 10 at 9:33 am, deputies were dispatched to the 2300 block of East K4 Highway for the report of damage to property and a burglary.
Upon arrival, deputies came in contact with two male contractors from Salina. They reported working on a construction project in the area and had two parked enclosed trailers with tools inside.
Reportedly, they discovered in the early morning hours of the 10th that someone broke into one trailer, stealing various contents inside and attempted to break into the other, only causing damage.
As a result, the damage to the trailers was $10,000.
The value of the reported stolen contents inside the trailer was $25,000 worth of mainly tools.
Moreover, a window of a residence in the area was broken. The damage was valued at $1,000.
