NWS issues wind advisories for counties in our area

Wind advisories have been issued for Tuesday for counties in our area.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a wind advisory in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday for the following counties in our area.

Ellsworth County

Lincoln County

Marion County

McPherson County

Saline County

South winds of 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.

A few stronger wind gusts may occur early this morning before the more persistent, and strong, wind gusts develop mid to late morning.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle.

Cloud County

Dickinson County

Ottawa County

Republic County

South winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.
