
Vicki Lynn Reiter, age 72, of Concordia, KS, died Thursday, June 12, 2025 at her home in Concordia, KS. She was born on June 14, 1952, in Ashland, KS to Victor L. & Evelyn M. (Zwonitzer) Bohling.
Vicki graduated from Concordia High School in 1970 and then graduated from Cloud County Community College and received her RN from Beloit Vo-Tech. She worked as a registered nurse and director of nursing for Heartland Care Center, Belleville, KS, Home Health Care Services, Wichita, KS and later for the pharmacies in Concordia.
She married James “Jimmy” Reiter on March 17, 1984, in Concordia, KS. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2020.
Vicki enjoyed being at home or loved spending time at their cabin at Lovewell Lake along with their friends. Vicki loved crossword and jigsaw puzzles but most of all decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween.
Vicki is survived by her children; Jody Dorman, Wichita & Mechelle Butler, Wichita, Kristie Richardson (Robert), Indianapolis, IN, Kim Brustkern (Ben), Waterloo, IA; sister, Terry Caldwell (Randy), Osborne; sisters in law, Linda Schwartz, Huron, SD & Joy Woodard (Bill), Durango, CO; grandchildren, Kiara, Jazilyn, Tiana, Kaden, Tyler, Gabrielle & Carter; her amazing friends, Greg & Annette Gallagher & Terri O’Connor and her wonderful neighbor, Gena Kearn and a host of other friends and relatives. The family also wanted to recognize Barbara Jones for the love and care she gave to Vicki and was instrumental in keeping her at home, so she could be with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy; her parents, Victor & Evelyn and a brother, Larry Bohling.
It was Vicki’s wish to be cremated and a memorial service will be held 10:30 am, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Pastor Delvin Strecker officiating. Friends may sign the register book from 9 am to 5 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025. Family burial of the cremains will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to Meadowlark Hospice or the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
