A unusually cold air mass will spread southward across the region for next week with possible frost and freezing temperatures affecting much of the area, according to the National Weather Service in Wichita. Continue to monitor later weather forecasts if you have sensitive plants outdoors that could be damaged or killed by these cold temperatures.
