Jean A. Faulkner, 80, Abilene, died Monday, September 23, 2024, at her home with her family at her side. Jean was born July 2, 1944, in Northampton, England to Henry and Frances Winifred (Whitcomb) Brown.
Jean and Anthony Faulkner were married on February 9, 1963, and they moved from England to Garden City, KS in 1972. Jean owned and operated Mummbbles Bar in Garden City for many years. The name of the bar came from no one being able to understand her English accent. They moved to Solomon and then to Abilene in 2023 to be near family.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Michelle; granddaughter, Natosha; siblings, John, David, Cynthia, and Allen; and stepsiblings, Geoff and Audrey.
Survivors are her husband, Tony; daughter, Tracey Deutscher and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Anthony Garcia and wife, Megan, Tyler Deutscher and wife, Taylor, and Taylor D'Alanno and husband, Wesley; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Indie, Phoebe, Lincoln, London, Remi, and River; and stepsiblings, Mick and Valerie.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Garden City. Memorials may be made to the great-grandchildren’s education fund and be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
